Palo Santo (also known as Holy Wood) is a rare, natural wood aromatic incense used for centuries by the Incas as a spiritual remedy for purifying and cleansing and to get rid of evil spirits, misfortune and calamity. Our beautiful Palo Santo Wood comes in large whole pieces as you see pictured. Unlike conventional incense which burns completely after lighting, Palo Santo may be relit many times. It has a wonderfully calming, soothing scent, with a powerful energy.

Celtic Blend is a blend of multi-coloured frankincense, myrrh, benzoin, & lavender. Used in sacred, protection, and purifying rituals. Resin granules are burned using incense charcoal. Light your charcoal and drop a few granules of resin on the charcoal. It will begin to smoulder, releasing the intense fragrance of these fine resin granules. Resin incense is a pure form of incense since it is not diluted by a burning base or fixatives typical in man-made stick or cone incense.

The Sal tree is an object of worship among Buddhists and Hindus in India and the adjoining countries. The legend has it that the famous Lumbini tract where Lord Buddha had sat for meditation and acquired salvation constituted a thick forest of Sal trees. This resin is virtually impossible to find in the USA, but we found a source of pure resin when we were in India searching for new suppliers.

This is one of the products we are extremely proud to offer.  It's a product of aPeruvian Cooperative, and it's also one of the best incenses we have found for those who love the heavily-used ritualistic incense known as Palo Santo wood.  Typically, Palo Santo comes as sticks or chips, but our Peruvian Cooperative uses ancient recipes to turn the Palo Santo wood to dust, then blending it with natural resins and a second ritualistic herb such as sage.

As a result, these sticks burn just like regular incense, they burn evenly, and they burn for many hours.  They may seem slightly "pricey" but pure Palo Santo wood, like Sandalwood is getting more difficult and more expensive.  Our Palo Santo comes from a forest of trees that are not only sustainably harvested, but they have been set aside specifically for making into this special incense. Choose your favorite variety below.
