Make-Your-Own Kits

SpiritualScents is proud to offer this late addition to our ever-expanding product line:  Make Your Own Kits for Candles, Incense, and Soaps.  It can be a lot of fun as well as a rewarding experience to know that you've started from the best ingredients, scented your creations with pure essential oils, and make something unique that can't be purchased in any store.

We've made it easy for you by including the popular "Soap Making 101 Kit" and the "Soap Making 201 Kit".  Those are a great place to start.  Besides those, though, make your way through our growing selection.  Not only are these great gifts, they're the perfect way to indulge your own interest in all-things scented.  The candle-making and the soap kits are a perfect complement to our all-organic line of essential oils.  Make your own signature blends!

How to Choose the Kit That's Right For You

With so many "make your own" kits to choose from, it can be difficult to figure out where to get started. We think that a good first step, is to decide what it is you want to make. Are you interested in making your own candles, making your own soaps, or making your own incense? Each one uses somewhat different materials, and requires different levels of skill.

For example:  With the candle making kits, there's hot wax involved.  If there are small children helping with the process, candle making might not be the way to go, although candle wax does melt at a relatively low temperature.

Also, do you like simple scents or do you like more exotic blends?  For simple scents, there are very simple, time-proven scents to go with them.  If a tea is a "relaxing" tea and it's made with Lavender, you can be assured that Lavender Essential Oil will also be relaxing, whether it's in a soap, candle, bath oil, or massage oil.  If you want something energizing, then a citrus scent is the way to go.

For us, the excitement comes in when scents are blended together in soaps and candles and incense.  One of my personal favorite blends is Lavender, Vanilla and a few dashes of Sandalwood.  To me, this is a delicate, earthy scent, that's both soothing and slightly energizing at the same time.

Don't be afraid to mix your own blends.  If you like a blend before you put it into a candle or soap, chances are you'll like it after you work with your make-your-own kit.
